About Us

We are located in an old dairy barn on 65 acres right next to beautiful French Creek. All of our beers are unfiltered and keg conditioned. We are the only brewery in Pennsylvania and possibly east of the Mississippi brewing "Estate Beers" We focus on fine and unique craft beers,the best local and National entertainment. One of our beer garden covers 3/4 of an acre near the brewery and features the newly constructed Pu-building highlighting the only bar in the world made from the masts of the "Flagship Niagara" Pennsylvania's official flagship. The second beer garden covers 10 acres and focuses on the beautiful natural setting so common and so loved by all folks from our state. There is pavilion in the midst of a Hickory grove which is surrounded by a meadow containing 200+ year old oak trees . These trees probably saw George Washington make his journey up French Creek to deliver news to the French at Ft. LeBeouf or witnessed Pontiac's attempts to drive the settlers out of this area."Bierhalla *(the main pub area)" is a "Pickers "dream featuring breweriana from many former Pennsylvania breweries and architectural pieces from other Pennsylvania homes and businesses. The Sleeping Leaf Lodge is a a 100 + year old farmhouse on the property and is available to rent by the day. It is within a 20 second walk from the brewery. We support our local community organizations by hosting such events as WQLN's "Gears to Beers" the "YMCA's strong kids cross country ski and snowshoe . We also have the only " Man-up " day in the USA dedicated to mankind and the pursuit of being the best you can be man or woman. The menu is small but unique and compliments our beers. The staff is friendly and treats everybody like family. The ambience at the brewery has been described as being at a family picnic or backyard party!! We have patrons from 21 to 101 and they all seem to feel comfortable sharing the space together... It's what we do best!!!
