Kenneth J. McDermott

Ken McDermott focuses his practice on serving the hospitality and alcohol industries by advising clients with respect to their alcohol licensing and general business needs.  Ken also advises his clients with respect to litigation, corporate and business matters, and intellectual property.  He is a tireless promoter of the alcohol industry in Pennsylvania, frequently speaking and writing about various aspects of the industry and providing information through his Twitter feed @PA_Alcohol_Law.  He also recently taught a section on Alcohol Law as part of the Harrisburg Area Community College’s Brewing Science program.

Before becoming an alcohol law attorney, Ken was a judicial law clerk for a Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice.  Prior to his clerkship, Ken was an associate with a construction litigation firm, where he represented subcontractors, contractors, owners, and design professionals in a variety of legal matters including contract disputes and mechanic’s lien claims.  Ken most recently practiced with a well-known firm in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
 
Ken is now with the Pittsburgh-based firm of Tucker Arensberg, P.C., though he practices out of the firm’s Harrisburg office.  Tucker Arensberg is a business law firm that boasts a broad range of experience with respect to its representation of businesses in the alcohol industry, especially manufacturers and retailers. Since the alcohol industry is heavily regulated at both the state and federal levels, our goal is to help you understand and navigate the numerous laws and regulations in order for you to better provide your products and services to the public.
